How does it work?
MetaCooler monitors the temperature status of the vehicle engine and battery system in real time and responds with an intelligent fan control mechanism. The system receives engine temperature and RPM data via the CAN bus present in the vehicle. This data is analyzed by the control unit within the system, and the required fan speed is dynamically determined.
Cooling fans activate gradually and as needed. For example, when the engine is running cold, the fans remain inactive; however, when the temperature exceeds a certain threshold, the system activates the fans and, if necessary, runs them at high speed to keep the engine within its optimal temperature range.
Additionally, in the event of a potential control failure, the system prevents the motor from overcooling or the system from operating irregularly by stopping the fans in “safety mode.” This feature helps protect the motor and battery systems by providing a safe shutdown behavior, especially in risky scenarios such as fire, short circuit, or fan failure.
